Las Vegas loves to party, and what better occasion than America's Independence Day....Vegas style! The party starts early here, so we've put together a list of family friendly events. Whether you enjoy parades, BBQ's, water parks or fireworks, this post has you covered.

Keep in mind that the Fourth falls on a Monday this year so many venues will be hosting parties, and events starting Friday, with a lot of the fireworks displays being done on July 2nd and 3rd. Check out the full schedule of events below. Click on the event for detailed information:

July 1st:

Ceasars Fourth of July: noon - midnight, front steps of Caesar's Palace - Celebrate Ceasar's 50th Anniversary with a Summer of Caesar's Block Party featuring BBQ, life sized games and live entertainment. 

Cowabunga Bay Celebration:  5 pm-10 pm - Cowabunga knows how to pull off a party, with speculator lit up night slides, fire dancers, awesome fireworks, and  a DJ’ spinning to the latest tunes. Admission after 5:00 pm $25.99.

The Linq Block Party:  2 p.m. - Kick off the party with a lively and colorful Fourth of July parade for the entire family. Starts at the Las Vegas Boulevard end of The LINQ Promenade and continues to the Fountain Stage. Then meet up at The Link for live music, performers and food throughout the day and night. Family friendly activities such as face painting, balloon artists, games and more.  Then, from 2-5 p.m., guests will enjoy the spectacle of more family-friendly live atmospheric entertainment, think stilt walkers, caricature artists and face painters. DJ Miguel will spin his signature “Rockin’ Hip Poppin’ Motivating Music” from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Free Admission.


July 2nd:

Ceasars Fourth of July : noon - midnight, front steps of Caesar's Palace - Celebrate Ceasar's 50th Anniversary with a Summer of Caesar's Block Party featuring BBQ, life sized games and live entertainment.

Cowabunga Bay Celebration:  5 pm-10 pm - Cowabunga knows how to pull off a party, with speculator lit up night slides, fire dancers, awesome fireworks, and  a DJ’ spinning to the latest tunes. Admission after 5:00 pm $25.99.

Fremont Street Independance Day: Listen to various artists including The Cherry Poppin' Daddies, 9pm. Free admission.

Laughlin Rockets Over the River: 9 pm, Laughlin Riverwalk - This extraordinary display is one of the most spectacular and unique in the West as the pyrotechnic company launches the rockets into the dark desert sky with the reflection of each colorful explosion shimmering on the Colorado River. Patriotic music will be choreographed to the fireworks and simulcast over speakers by Laughlin hotels and local radio stations. Admission Free.

Mandalay Bay Concert on the Beach: 8:00 pm, Mandalay Bay Pool - Live music by 311 followed by a spectacular fireworks display. Admission $57-$64.

Speedway Night of Fire: 5 pm-10:30 pm, Las Vegas Motor Speedway - NASCAR sanctioned 3/8-mile oval asphalt, will present its popular annual stock car racing, water-less boat races, Monster Truck “Shocker,” “MavTV Missile” Jet Car burn. The Bullring’s concession stand will feature $1 hot dogs, $1 Coca-Cola products. The highlight of the evening will be a spectacular holiday fireworks display at the end of the program at approximately 10:20 p.m. $ Admission Prices Vary.

Lake of Las Vegas Fireworks Over the Water:  3 pm-10 pm, MonteLago Village - Enjoy many free family activities to the sound of live music, food trucks and vendors throughout the day. The Henderson Symphony Orchestra will play along to two simultaneous fireworks displays starting at 9 pm.

Mandalay Bay Concert on the Beach: 8:00 pm, Mandalay Bay Pool - Live music by 311 followed by a spectacular fireworks display. Admission $57-$64.

Moapa Madness:  7 pm, Moapa Pauite Travel Plaza - Have a 4th of July weekend to remember at Moapa Madness 2016! Country Night BIG Entertainment,mouth watering food, FREE fireworks and FREE performances by Raelynn and High Valley. Fireworks display at 9 pm . Admission $20 per car.

Pahrump Nugget Fireworks: 6 pm – Midnight ,Pahrump Nugget Hotel & Casino - A Summer Celebration featuring a bouncy house, DJ, an eating contest, $1 bowling and shoes, drink specials and a spectacular Fourth of July fireworks show at 9 pm.  

Stratosphere Fun-on-the-Fourth: 5 pm, Elation Pool, 8th floor Stratosphere Hotel  - Open to all ages. Featuring a live performance by Yellow Brick Road and fireworks by Grucci at 9 pm. Admission $30 + tax.

July 4th:

51's Game and Independence Day Celebration:   7:05 pm, Cashman Field - Las Vegas 51's vs. Salt Lake City Bee's,  fireworks spectacular after the game. Admission $16.  

Boulder City Damboree Celebration: July 4th, 9 am, Broadbent Park - Kick off your  4th of July with a pancake breakfast followed by a parade that begins with a flyover by the Boulder City Flying Group and ends with a water zone.  Then take the family over to Broadbent Park for midway  booths, food, games, contests and a flag raising ceremony . Boulder City Community  Pool will be open and doing a coin drop, $ admission. The fun doesn't end there though! From 4 pm-11 pm, Veteran's Memorial Park will host live music, food, games and water park play , with fireworks display at 9 pm. Parking $10.

Henderson Fourth of July: July 4th, 6 pm-9:15 pm, Mission Hills Park - Bring the entire family  for live music, food and activities including water park play. The night ends with an 18 minute firework display. Free parking and shuttle service at Foothill High School. Admission Free.

Lifetime Athletic Green Valley Celebration, 1 pm-10 pm located at 121 Carnegie St. in Henderson - Fourth of July poolside bash featuring a live DJ, and family-friendly activities including a dunk tank, Jenga and cornhole on the pool deck, along with dance parties and complimentary hot dogs and hamburgers. Life Time Athletic’s Fourth of July Pool Party is complimentary for members. Non-members may purchase a 24-hour day pass for full access to the club and Pool Party, priced at $30.

Mesquite Rockets Over the Red Mesa: 6 pm-9:30 pm, Eureka Casino Resort - DJ, vendors, Nevada Pops Orchestra followed by fireworks.

Moapa July 4th Celebration: 7 am-9 pm, Clark County Fairgrounds - Start the day with a flag ceremony at 7 am followed by a children's parade, water fight and food. Fireworks at 9 pm.

Moapa Madness:  7 pm, Moapa Pauite Travel Plaza - Have a 4th of July weekend to remember at Moapa Madness 2016! Rock & Roll Night BIG Entertainment,mouth watering food, FREE fireworks and FREE top-name performances by music legends Bret Michaels, Vince Neil and Big & Rich with guest appearances by War. Fireworks display at 9 pm. Admission $20 per car.

Pahrump Liberty Festival: July 4th, Petrack Park - Free family activities, arts and crafts, food and fun from noon til fireworks at 9 pm.

Summerlin Independence Day Parade: July 4th, 8:30 am-11 am, beginning at the corner of Hillpointe Rd. and Hills Center Drive, South to Village Center Circle, then West on Trailwood Dr, ending at Trailwood and Spring Gate Lane - Join Senator Dean Heller and Lt. Governor Mark Hutchinson as they kick off Southern Nevada's largest 4th of July Parade. Over 70 entries including floats, giant Inflatable balloons, musical groups and cartoon characters. Free Admission.

Our Best Advice

  • The Las Vegas Strip will be crowded throughout the entire weekend with thousands of visitors and locals looking for a holiday celebration so plan for traffic and crowd

  • Pedestrian bridges along the strip make for an ideal place to watch fireworks.

  • No matter where you go, dress for hot weather and lots of walking.
  • Pack plenty of water and sunscreen.
  • Every bar, restaurant and club will have drink and dining specials.
  • If you plan on going out to eat, MAKE RESERVATIONS!
  • Fireworks usually start shortly after sunset so get to your location early to find an ideal viewing spot.
  • If you plan to drive, be warned that Metro Police will be stepping up enforcement with sobriety checkpoints starting July 1st. Please don't drink and drive.
